Robert L. Deitrick, 77, of Defiance, passed away Friday, November 16th, 2012, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Ft. Wayne.

He was born in Defiance, Ohio on August 27, 1935. He was the son of the late Joseph and Georgiabell

(Link) Deitrick. He was a lifetime member of St. Mary Catholic Church and served in the U.S. Navy. Bob worked at Leever Glass Defiance for 45 years and owned and operated Deitrick Upholstery. He was a big Cleveland Indians fan. On Sept. 29, 1956 he married JoAnn Hostettler, who survives.

Bob will be greatly missed by his wife, JoAnn; daughters, Diana (Ron) Emerling of Defiance, Deborah (Ted) Martinez of Defiance, and Darlene (Troy) Pearson of Greensboro, NC; a son, Robert J. (Stephani) Deitrick of Defiance; seven grandchildren, Danielle, Angie, Joseph, Bianca, Nick, Remick and Jamie; and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Richard, Ronald and Randle Deitrick.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at at St. Mary Catholic Church, Defiance, OH, at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, November 20, with Father Randy Giesige officiating. Visitation will be Monday 3-8 p.m. at Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home with a 7 p.m. Rosary service on Monday. Burial will be in Riverview Memory Gardens.
