HOLGATE -- Katherine E. Williamson, 92, Holgate, Ohio, died Sunday, December 11, 2011, in Van Crest Healthcare of Holgate.
She was born July 31, 1919, in Holgate, Ohio, the daughter of John Joseph and Mary (O'Neill) McGill. On May 20, 1936, she married Roger G. Williamson, who died April 21, 1964. She was a housekeeper at St. Mary Convent and Rectory for four years and a laborer at Diehl Milk for 17 years. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Defiance.
Surviving are a son, Roger L. (Delores) Williamson, Napoleon; a daughter, Kathleen (Henry) Scheele, Napoleon; a sister, Geraldine (Floyd) Brisbine, Massillon, Ohio; and three grandsons, two great-grandsons and four stepgrandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her husband; her parents; seven brothers, Francis, Neil, James, George, Robert, Eugene and Charles McGill; and a sister, Cecielia McDonald.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 20, 2011, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Defiance, with Father Randy Giesige and Deacon James Schortgen officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Defiance. Visitation is from 9-11 Tuesday, December 20, at Hanenkrath-Clevenger-Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance.
