Paulding Exempted Village Schools students and staff came together on Friday, May 11th for their 2nd annual Mini-Relay for Life. Many high school classes and organizations ran activities for the elementary, middle school, and high school students alike, throughout the day. A new activity this year, and certainly a crowd favorite, was the dunk tank! Various teachers, coaches and staff members volunteered to sit in the dunk tank on that beautiful, sunny day...even though the water was a bit chilly! It was a big hit! But CANCER took the biggest hit of the day, as students and staff contributed to raise an astounding $18,669.00 for the Paulding County Relay for Life! Last year, the PEVS team raised $17,000 and everyone was looking toward meeting or beating last year's total. It was an amazingly successful day, thanks to all of the staff members and students, as well as RFL volunteers who worked to make things run smoothly. Organizers of the event were Middle School teachers, Cheri Estle and Cheryl Schier.
