Western Ohio man faces trial on child rape charges

TROY, Ohio (AP) -- Trial is set to begin in western Ohio for a 30-year-old man charged with a raping a 10-year-old boy.

The boy and his adoptive father are expected to testify for the prosecution. The trial judge has ruled that the boy can testify by closed circuit television instead of taking the stand in the courtroom.

The attorney for Jason Zwick had unsuccessfully sought a delay Monday. He alleges possible witness tampering. His motion said the defense contends that Zwick has been misidentified as the perpetrator.

Zwick is charged with three counts of raping a minor under 13. The adoptive father is expected to testify for the prosecution, after a plea agreement under which he will serve 60 years to life in prison.

Trial is expected to last about a week.
