Cincinnati riverfront park gets $1M boost


CINCINNATI (AP) -- Plans for a riverfront park in downtown Cincinnati have gotten a big boost.

The Procter & Gamble Co. is giving $1 million toward the park that will stretch from Great American Ball Park to Paul Brown Stadium once it's completed.

The Cincinnati Enquirer reports ( ) the money will go toward a series of outdoor play areas.

City leaders hope the park revitalizes Cincinnati's downtown.

Already open are a bike and visitor center, an outdoor stage and a microbrewery.
