COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) -- The Ohio Supreme Court has ordered a six-month law license suspension for former Ohio Attorney General Marc Dann.
The ruling Tuesday means Dann can't work as an attorney during the suspension, a punishment connected to his 2008 resignation amid a sexual harassment scandal.
Dann, a Democrat, also pleaded guilty in 2010 to improperly paying two aides from political and office accounts and failing to disclose campaign expenses.
The state Disciplinary Counsel had asked for a year-long suspension. It said Dann tarnished the reputation of the office and noted that no other Ohio attorney general has ever been subject to discipline.
Dann had argued for a six-month suspension that would have allowed him to keep working as a lawyer.
