School bus veers off Ohio roadway, tips on side

WASHINGTON COURT HOUSE, Ohio (AP) -- Authorities say several children received medical attention after a school bus traveling in a rural area ended up on its side along an Ohio roadway.

The accident happened Monday afternoon on state Route 38 near Washington Court House, about 35 miles southwest of Columbus. Multiple media outlets report several students were treated at the scene or taken away for further medical examination.

WCMH-TV in Columbus reports that officials at the scene said the bus driver apparently veered off the downward-sloping edge of the road, tipping the bus as it carried several dozen students.

There were no reports of serious injuries.
