CLEVELAND (AP) -- A casino spokeswoman says slot machines have arrived at the first of four casinos scheduled to open in Ohio.
Jennifer Kulczycki (kuhl-ZIH'-kee) with Rock Gaming says about 1,100 slot machines were being moved into the site of the Horseshoe Cleveland casino on Thursday.
She says the casino will have a total of about 2,100 slot machines, including traditional slot-type games and video poker. The rest of the machines are expected to be delivered next week. Some will be put in storage until crews finish construction and renovation at the former department store site.
The Cleveland casino is scheduled to open in mid-May, followed two weeks later by one in Toledo. Casinos also are planned in Cincinnati and Columbus.
