IDs released in SE Michigan crash that killed 2

ERIE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) -- Southeastern Michigan authorities are releasing the names of two people killed in a weekend head-on crash near the Ohio line.

The Monroe County sheriff's department says the crash happened about 4 a.m. Sunday on Dixie Highway in Erie Township, about five miles north of Toledo, Ohio. A southbound car carrying two people crossed the center line and hit a northbound pickup truck.

The department says both people in the car were killed. They're identified as 35-year-old driver Jamall Mobley of Detroit and 31-year-old passenger Charla Bynum of Lincoln Park.

The department says the pickup's 24-year-old driver Dane McDonald of Erie was treated at Toledo's Mercy St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center and released.

The crash was under investigation Monday.
