COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) -- High winds are expected to hit Ohio as a cold front makes its way across the state.

National Weather Service wind advisories covering most of Ohio on Friday will be in effect from midmorning to late evening.

Forecasters say snow is possible as the cold front moves through the state. It will be accompanied by winds of 20 mph to 30 mph, with gusts of up to 55 mph in some places.

The weather service cautions that winds could blow down trees and power lines and cause minor damage to property.
