BARCELONA, Spain (AP) -- Granada beat Rayo Vallecano 2-0 Saturday for its first home win in seven games in the Spanish league.
Rayo defender Jordi Amat scored an own goal in the 24th minute when he redirected Allan Nyom's cross into his own net while under duress from Granada striker Odion Ighalo.
After both goalkeepers made several saves, Jose "Recio" Garcia del Pozo sealed the hosts' victory in the 80th with a long-range strike from a pass by fellow winter reinforcement Carlos Aranda.
Granada's second home victory in 10 games this season lifted it three points above the relegation zone.
Rayo, which remained in sixth place, saw its four-game winning streak come to an end.
Later, it's: Real Sociedad vs. Barcelona, Getafe vs. Sevilla, and Malaga vs. Celta Vigo.
