LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Floyd Mayweather Jr. picked a strange place to stop talking about Manny Pacquiao.
Mayweather sat on a throne alongside Miguel Cotto at Hollywood's famed Chinese Theatre on Thursday to promote their May 5 bout, promising an action-packed fight in what's likely to be his toughest test in a half-decade.
Although the theatre is just a short walk from the Wild Card Gym where Pacquiao trains, Mayweather threw only shadow punches at his rival for pound-for-pound supremacy in boxing.
After Mayweather and Pacquiao again failed to agree to a deal, the unbeaten five-division champion ripped Pacquiao in previous promotional stops. He seemed determined to avoid even saying Pacquiao's name in Hollywood, instead focusing on Cotto's skills -- some learned from watching Mayweather at a Las Vegas gym a decade ago, Mayweather believes.
